A disturbing story out of the U.S. on the disproportionate impact the housing crisis is having on black Americans. Some scary figures in here beyond that issue - like the fact that almost five per cent of recent borrowers in the U.S. have lost their house to foreclosure.

It does not surprise me at all because of the predatory nature of lenders at in the last five years in the US. In seeking more people to make loans to, they suddenly went after the minority populations in the US after ignoring them for decades.

The mess in the US has the potential to create a ten to twenty year of economic malaise in the US with the heaviest impact on the unskilled and the traditional working classes
